Designed with patients and HCPs, a new rare disease comprehensive online resource.
LivingWithNETs – A new dedicated website for patients living with neuroendocrine tumours: designed with patients for patients
LivingWithNETS is a comprehensive online resource that Kanga supported Ipsen Pharma to design with patients, for patients, to provide information and support for those living with, suspected to have, or recently diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumours. The site was launched on world NETs day alongside a highly successful Thunderclap campaign.
Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare, with 2 to 5 new cases per 100,000 people per year. They occur more frequently in older than in younger people. The average age at the time of diagnosis is about 65, and they affect men and women equally
Putting patients at the heart of the website design and build process.
Kanga co-created with patients, inviting them to participate in workshops to help design a resource which would fit their needs, covering the right contents, to the design, even inputting to the name of the website.
The result is a patient-focused intuitively organized searchable online ‘hub’ that addresses the wide range of needs identified: from helping to drive earlier diagnosis, to comprehensive disease area information through to a wide range of suppor t and tools on a more practical level.
