Kay enjoyed checking in with some pharma pioneers who are starting to wake up to the need for a global approach (London, 25 June)
A main message of the conference was simple, yet still not practised by many: you need a global strategy and framework for Social Media engagement. MSD and Pfizer are leading the way here.
An interesting shift: some in the industry are realising the power of their workforce. The most innovative companies are finally starting to ‘trust’ employees and let them Tweet/post about work topics – with clear guidelines, of course.
Not many people except for Kay were Tweeting from the conference – we at Kanga are questioning whether pharma can do social media well if we don’t act as engaged members of our community.
