Kanga is Wearing it Pink for Breast Cancer

The Kanga office is looking fetching in pink today to help raise awareness of breast cancer in Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women worldwide. When detected early, with adequate diagnosis and treatment, there is a good chance of recovery. But late detection often means curative treatment is no longer an option, and palliative care to relieve the suffering of patients and their families is needed.

The WHO highlights that the majority of deaths from breast cancer occur in low- and middle-income countries, where most are diagnosed in late stages due to lack of awareness about early detection and barriers to health services.

The vision of Breast Cancer Now is that by 2050 everyone who develops breast cancer will live. Find out more about their research and how you can be ‘breast aware’ at
