Kay is known as a thought leader in healthcare digital communications with 20 years’ experience in and with the pharmaceutical industry as well as non-pharma digital business leadership experience as a ‘dot com’ leader in the 1990s.
A Maths graduate with a postgraduate Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Kay created and led AstraZeneca’s award-winning global digital marketing team for 5 years and then built a digital agency as part of a top 3 agency group before going on to launch Kanga as an independent business.
Kay has broad cross-industry experience in brand and product management, business and digital strategy and marketing strategy and communications, including as global brand director for a market-leading mental health brand. She has developed international digital strategies, platforms, programs, campaigns and best practices that have been rolled out and implemented across the world with demonstrable return on investment.
Kay has keynoted a number of industry digital conferences and published articles on pharma digital transformation.
Kay was a pioneer in the UK digital market in the 1990s, running the first ever TV campaign for a website in the UK (TopJobs.net) and also signing up with AOL as their first partner when they came to Europe. Kay successfully floated the company on NASDAQ and rolled it out across 10 countries.
Today Kay acts as principal digital strategist for a number of pharma clients including chairing internal digital events, running leadership digital workshops and leading centres of excellence.
Kay spends her spare time with husband Mike and her five children, with live music, dancing and hill-walking her favourite activities.
