For the past month, the Kanga team has been taking part in the 30-Day Challenge for Stress Awareness Month and we’ve been sharing our activities on social media each week. This is the final week of the challenge so we’d like to tell you about some of the other activities the Kanga team have been doing to keep our stress at bay.
Colette has been visiting the stable as much as possible to do the mucking out, tend to her horse and to go riding with her daughter.

Changing up travelling routes to avoid seeing the same things and going out of her way to see trees and flowers gave Kirsten a boost of happiness this month.
Rupert has been doing so many different things outside of work we can’t list them all here, but they include making homemade olive oil, looking after his animals, learning beekeeping and redoing his garden.
Alexandra has been doing various types of Yoga, going on some brisk countryside walks and doing wild swimming. For her mental and emotional challenges, she’s been taking photos, looking after her cats (and one that’s not hers!), reading and watching TV.
James, Kay & Siobhan all seem to have had the same idea and have all been getting out for walks in nature when possible. Kay has also been de-stressing by playing her cello.

Becky has been having fun swimming with her children and Ed has been relocating plants and catching up with friends.
Lorraine advised us that an afternoon nap does wonders for her stress – a few of us are going to give that a go this weekend!
Craig kindly gave a presentation to the team on an initiative of his called StressTech during one of our monthly ‘Kanga Katch-up’ sessions. His presentations had some great tips and tricks to help with stress. He’s also been reusing a ’25 healthy movements’ challenge he’d previously taken part in as a part of his 30-Day Challenge. Have a look at the movements Craig used on his YouTube channel here:
It’s been great to see what different things our team have done to prevent stress over the past four weeks and we’d definitely advise that anyone feeling stressed takes some time to do some activities that help you feel better.
As well as getting out in nature and involving yourself with activities, there are also things you can do to help others be less stressed. If you’re working in a team, try and help your colleagues out when you can. Make sure if you’re relying on them for something, that they have everything they need. If you think someone is struggling or suffering in silence – reach out to them and offer your support. Sharing tips, tricks, updates & news with your colleagues are also great ways of maintaining good communication within the team and can help keep people’s stress levels down.
