The team at Kanga are incredibly proud to announce that our our recent pro-bono project has been completed and the website we’ve built has now been launched.
vulvalpainsociety.org.uk is a website for women living with vulval pain syndromes.
Up to 16% of women are affected by these taboo and little-understood conditions and few healthcare professionals (HCPs) are experienced in this area. We worked with both patients and HCPs to understand their needs and journey so we could build a website that raises awareness of the condition, provides information and gives people the confidence to discuss treatment options with a doctor.

Kanga worked with patients and HCPs and studied the patient journey, identifying gaps, needs & available support, which helped us form objectives. We then ran an ideation session to capture ideas on how to achieve the objectives we’d set. Following ideation, we identified four key objectives and a highly search-optimised website was the most important of these, as women often look online for information and support.
Our team worked with the VPS to produce a clean, informative and easy-to-navigate website that is highly visible and provides both patients and HCPs with information and support for the condition. The site has received excellent feedback from patient groups and has already exceeded the previous website’s traffic and engagement levels.
