We are thrilled to announce that Kanga is the East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce’s Employer of the Year 2023! We were chosen for our commitment to providing an inclusive culture across our business, locally, nationally, and internationally. Nine of our team collected the award at the Business Awards held at De Vere Cranage Estate on Friday 17th March.
This award recognises our extraordinary commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). EDI is very close to our CEO, Kay Wesley’s, heart having worked hard to make sure that, as the business grows Kanga continues to provide a first-class working environment, wherever in the world our team members are located.
Kay Wesley, Chief Executive Officer, said of the win: “Kanga has several business objectives, but number one is ‘having a team of happy people who love what they do’. This award is by the team and for them.”
Our progressive approach helps us focus on the well-being of our people, how we retain them (our average tenure of 5.2 years is double that of our competitors!), how we offer equal opportunities and professional development across the team, and our reward and recognition structure that has been described as ‘that of a blue-chip company’.
