This week we interviewed Emily from our account management team, who is one of our newest recruits! In this Kanga Life feature, Emily tells us about why she was drawn to Kanga at the application stage of her recruitment, and why she’s loving her time with us so far…

Emily, it’s good to have you on the team! What is your role at Kanga Health?
It’s good to be here! I am a Digital Account Manager.
So, what attracted you to apply for the Digital Account Manager role at Kanga?
I was really interested in getting to know more about the pharmaceutical industry and because of this, paired with my passion for digital transformation, I thought that Kanga looked like the perfect company for me to join. I got a very welcoming feeling from the website and social media and was really excited to find out more.
Why is Kanga different to your previous workplaces?
Although I have only been at Kanga for a short amount of time, I really feel like it is by far the best place I have worked. There is no micromanagement and all ideas are welcome. The goal is to use the talent and thought leaders that we have internally to make an impact on the digital presence in the pharma and healthcare industry in the best way.
How would you describe the culture at Kanga?
It is very much one team, one dream. Everyone is always willing to offer a helping hand to expand the knowledge of the team. It is very clear that Kanga cares a lot about its employees and ensuring that everybody is happy at work.
Let’s talk work… what is your typical working day like?
My role at Kanga is a hybrid between account management and project management, meaning that I typically spend my day ensuring that the two are aligned. I do this by working with clients to develop ideas to improve their digital presence and ensuring that projects are being delivered on time and to a high standard.
With a busy role, how do you manage a healthy work-life balance?
I feel that Kanga is a big advocate for a healthy work-life balance. You are not expected to work outside of typical working hours, so when the working day is over, I switch off and enjoy my free time.
What does Kanga do to support your work-life balance?
It is important to Kanga that the team are happy both inside and outside of work. It is encouraged to enjoy your free time and weekends, we even have break-out activities in the office to ensure that breaks are spent having fun and not thinking about work.
What would be the one thing you’d say to people applying for a role at Kanga?
If you are passionate about what you do and have ideas that you want to see come to life, join Kanga! You will be a valued member of a close-knit team and you won’t regret it.
